Gag Order continues in Worrell Murder Investigation

The Enterprise was recently contacted by a concerned reader asking for an update on the investigation intho the 2006 murder of Doris Spillers Worrell. Two men were arrested in connection with the crime, though both have since been relased on bond, and a gag order remains in effect for all those involved in the case and its prosecution.
The Coffee County District Attorney's office was contacting on Thursday, September 11, and an attempt was made to obtain information about the wherabous and potential trial against Glidden H. Rodriuez and Brandon E. Cage, both of Douglas, who were both charged with conspiracy to commit murder in the shooting death of Worrell.
Coffee County Assistant District Attorney John Rumker stated that a gag order was still in effect, and no information could be discussed pertaining to the case, including a potential trial date for the two men arrested or the two men's whereabouts.
Rodriguez and Cage were both arrested earlier this year on March 13, but were released on $10,000 bond each on April 28.
Worrell was killed nearly two years ago on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at the local business formerly known as Jon's Sports Park.
